30.54 miles on foot, all the way across Rhode Island in a single day. This year we walk in memory of two peers lost to gun violence, and every dollar raised goes to gun violence prevention.
Make sure to send payment to reserve your spot!
Why We Walk This Year
On December 13th, 2025, two of our peers were killed in a shooting at Brown University. The 5th Walk Across Rhode Island is dedicated to their memory.
For four years this walk has been a joyful, slightly ridiculous way to raise money for people we will never meet. This year it is also something else. Every dollar we raise goes to gun violence prevention, and we walk the width of our state to say plainly that our community will not simply move on.
Walking is not a solution to anything. But thirty miles is a long way to go together, and going together is the point.
The Walk
The Walk was started in 2022 by four high school friends as a joke turned fundraiser. Originally just the founding four and two last-minute joins, it grew to 27 people the next year, then 114, and then 170 walkers in 2025 — the largest yet. Join us for the 5th annual walk across Rhode Island.

Getting several hundred people across a state takes a team. We need help with press, partnerships, fundraising, social media, logistics, and the very important category of “I have an idea.” Commit as much or as little as you like.
